The hazards faced by lone workers can be made significantly more high risk, if effective training has not been provided. Whether it’s dealing with aggressive members of the public or contractors, lone working places any employee at a greater degree of risk than those working in teams. This means that any risks and hazards associated with the task or lone working must be assessed and control measures implemented. This could include supervision, training, PPE or instruction.
