Safety Essentials for Computer Operators

Our Safety Essentials for Computer Operators training course has been developed to provide employees with an informative approach to the risks associated with Display Screen work and the knowledge of how ergonomic principles can be adopted to reduce some of the risks encountered.

The course will look at potential health effects from ill managed workstations and how good posture and simple effective solutions can be adopted. The course also gives training and an overview of the Display Screen Equipment Regulations to meet your training requirements.

This course is designed to allow the learner to demonstrate understanding of the safety essentials of Display Screen Equipment (VDU’s) and the knowledge of how to apply this information in the workplace. This will cover a number of elements including:-

Who should complete this course?

The training course is designed for employees with little or no knowledge of Display Screen Equipment, so is ideal for induction and refresher training.

• Prior Learning? – None required
• Pre Course learning? – Learners may wish to read the Display Screen Equipment Regulations but this is not a requirement.
• Certification – All learners who successfully complete the module will be issued with a certificate of learning.
